Job Summary: This position provides support for daily functions in the Office of Human Resources and will be responsible for transactional work for regular, temporary and student employees. This position supports team members talent acquisition by problem solving, researching and responding to routine questions on human resources policies and procedures. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree and 3 years of experience in administrative functions or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Licensing Requirements:

Hiring Range: $36,606- $45,758

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with talent acquisition and onboarding, including use of an applicant tracking system, Banner or other HRIS
  • Understanding of human resources
  • Desire to work in a team environment driven by process improvement
  • Ability to fluctuate between various tasks
  • Comfortable with technology

Job Specific Task List:

  • Applies basic understanding of talent acquisition policies and procedures and ensures optimal employee experience and accuracy of details when performing duties which may include: process I9s; provide recruitment and onboarding assistance to applicants, hiring managers, and search committee members; monitor inquires sent to general email account; run background clearances and ensures timely completion of clearances for faculty and staff; provide FBI finger printing service for candidates and employees; trouble-shoot problems with onboarding system; train and assist end users with onboarding. - (Essential)
  • Applies basic understanding of employee records policies and procedures to perform duties which may include: managing interview notes; assist with testing the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system human resources module by setting up scenarios and/or running processes; assist with employee data maintenance and updates; assist with record-keeping tasks such as updates and purges. - (Essential)
  • Assist with special projects which may include: college-wide diversity initiative, perform basic research; test/explore new processes; create/update/run reports; create informational/educational materials for employees; serve as backup to staff, including conducting presentations and employee training sessions, as needed. - (Essential)
  • Perform administrative support duties, including but not limited to: prepare communications to employees and supervisors; and various administrative support tasks such as filing, scanning, indexing, faxing, and copying. - (Essential)
  • Other duties as assigned. - (Standard)
